What makes your school different than all the others?

First and foremost we care about each and every student. Not only will we insure that you are getting everything that you need to become a successful martial artist, but you will do so in a family atmosphere. You are not just a client or a student, but you are a member of our Kenpo extended family.

What will my children learn at this karate school?

Self-esteem, self-discipline, self defense techniques, and self confidence. You will see almost immediate results in your child's behavior. We make their participation fun. Exercise becomes a daily habit. Unlike many schools, our children's program is specifically gearded toward the developement of your children and toward their individual needs.

Will my child become aggressive if she or he studies karate?

No, rather than increasing hostility we have successfully moderate the behavior of the children that were overly aggressive.

Am I too old to start martial arts?

No, you are not too old to begin martial arts training.  I have had students start in their 50’s and older.  Kenpo is a practical and effective martial art that does not incorporate gymnastics.

Do I have to go to the gym to get into shape before I begin my martial arts training?

No, you will get into shape as you train.  We have a series of exercises that you will learn as you progress through the ranking system which will enable you to perform the self defense techniques.

What is the difference between Tae Kwon Do and Kenpo?

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean Martial Art that focuses primarily on kicking techniques.  Some Tae Kwon Do schools also teach Olympic style fighting.  Kenpo is a practical self defense system which trains the student for modern day self defense encounters. Kenpo students are taught to use their hands and feet with multiple strikes to multiple targets on each attacker, in a multiple attack situation.

Will your classes help me become physically fit?

By enrolling and practicing Karate you will improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, stamina, and reflexes. While learning self-defense, you will also have fun! Our classes always begin with stretching and a basic workout. We also encourage our students to practice their material and workout at home.

Do you offer private lessons?
